Mostly, I'm curious, and I spend a lot of time outdoors, especially on the water.

But, I've also had a long career in business and law, served as CEO of a company in the transportation sector, practiced as a law partner, worked as a law firm leader, and consulted as a legal futurist. I've written and spoken on a wide variety of subjects, including poisonous plants (a book), aviation, boating, seamanship, law, legal operations, legal knowledge management, legal technology, the future of law (a book), the nature of work, high altitude ballooning, and a bunch of other things.

I'm passionate about protecting our nation's most endangered rivers, lakes, bays, and coastlines, and I've traveled more than 10,000 miles over such bodies of water.
